What is an SMOOTHER?
SMOOTHER is a type of cement mortar modified with polymer additives, along with adhesion boosters and mineral fillers and can be used only by adding ready-made water. This material is used to fill pores and remove fine surface cracks. Due to its high adhesion and filling properties, osmosis is a suitable material for preparing and leveling surfaces before applying coatings with high properties.
Due to the quality and ingredients, SMOOTHER restorative material is the best choice to create perfectly smooth and polished surfaces with micron thickness. Proper trowel, easy polishing, smooth and polished surface are the prominent features of this product. This material has other advantages such as extremely high adhesion to the substrate, high filling capability, non-shrinkage, applicability on vertical and horizontal surfaces, as well as resistance to melting and freezing cycles.
Uses of this product include filling non-structural seams and cracks and very small. This product is used for substructure of floors and walls before installing all kinds of decorative and painting materials, preparing surfaces before applying coatings with high properties and leveling the roughness of concrete and cemented surfaces. How to use the SMOOTHER
The surface must be clean, firm and free of grease, dust, paint, oil and loose particles.
About 8.7 liters of water should be added to each 25 kg bag. Mixing the powder with water should be done using an electric mixer (drill + blade). The bucket or container in which the powder and water are mixed should be proportional to the speed of work and the volume of mixing. Always add the powder slowly to the water and make sure that the electric mixer is on when the powder is added to the water and that the mixing process continues until a uniform and homogeneous mixture is obtained.
Be sure to moisten the underside of the substrate before applying the SMOOTHER ready mix.
Apply the prepared mortar with a trowel or spatula on wet surfaces.
Depending on the amount of porosity and unevenness of the applied surfaces, about 0.7 to 1 kg of SMOOTHER is required to cover one square meter with a thickness of 0.5 mm.
Always mix the amount of powder with water that can be used in less than 20 minutes.
After the applied mortar is half dry, keep all surfaces moist by spraying water for at least 48 hours.
